The MCC Round 1 seat matrix for NEET UG 2026 splits the 37 All India Quota seats into 14 open, 10 OBC, 4 EWS, 6 SC and 3 ST seats. One seat each in the open, EWS and SC groups is held for persons with disability (PwD). The Rajasthan Round 1 seat matrix splits the 209 state seats as shown below.

Rajasthan reserves 16 per cent of state seats for SC and 12 per cent for ST candidates. It reserves 21 per cent for OBC (non-creamy layer), 5 per cent for MBC and 10 per cent for EWS candidates. Of the ST seats, 45 per cent go to students from the state's scheduled (tribal) area. These reservations apply only to Rajasthan domicile candidates.

Inside every category, some seats are held for special groups. This is called horizontal reservation. At least 25 per cent of seats in each category go to women. Five per cent go to persons with benchmark disability. One per cent go to children of defence and paramilitary personnel of Rajasthan origin.

Who is eligible for MBBS at SMS Medical College Jaipur?

Every route starts with qualifying NEET UG 2026. The Rajasthan bulletin sets the qualifying level at the 50th percentile for general and EWS candidates. It is the 45th percentile for general PwD candidates. For SC, ST, OBC and MBC candidates it is the 40th percentile. A candidate must be at least 17 years old by 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit.

Eligibility for the SMS Jaipur All India Quota

Any Indian candidate who qualified NEET UG 2026 can register for the All India Quota on the MCC UG medical counselling portal. There is no domicile rule for these 37 seats.

Eligibility for the SMS Jaipur state quota

The Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 information bulletin lists ten ways to qualify as a Rajasthan candidate. The main ones are:

• A parent has lived in Rajasthan for the last 10 years, and the candidate studied for at least 5 of those years at a recognised school in Rajasthan.

• The candidate is a bona fide resident of Rajasthan who is studying in another state.

• A parent is a serving or retired Government of Rajasthan employee. An All India Services officer on the Rajasthan cadre with more than 3 years of state service also counts.

• A parent has at least 3 years of permanent service with a Rajasthan government undertaking, municipal body, state university or the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.

• A parent is serving or retired defence or paramilitary personnel of Rajasthan origin, or is serving and posted in Rajasthan.

• A parent is a judge of the Rajasthan High Court.

A candidate who meets none of these can still register under clause XI, called "Other". These candidates are considered only for seats left vacant after the state merit list runs out, during or after Round 3. They get no state reservation.

SMS Jaipur NEET cutoff: All India Quota closing ranks

A closing rank is the NEET UG All India Rank of the last candidate allotted a seat in that round. The table shows Round 1 closing ranks at SMS Jaipur for the last two years, from the MCC results for Round 1 2025 and Round 1 2026. PwD seats are left out, because PwD candidates are compared only with each other.

SMS Jaipur cutoff 2026: Rajasthan state quota

The Rajasthan board publishes a full allotment list after each round. The table shows the last NEET UG All India Rank allotted a regular SMS Jaipur government seat in each category. The figures come from the revised Round 1 allotment list of 4 September 2026 and the revised Round 2 allotment list of 15 September 2026. The NEET score at that rank is in brackets. Seats held for PwD, defence and paramilitary wards are left out.

Two points stand out for a Rajasthan family. First, the state quota closes at a much later rank than the All India Quota. In Round 1, the last state UR seat went at rank 2,301, against 1,144 for the All India open seat. A Rajasthan student near rank 2,000 had a real chance only through the state quota.

Second, the state list moves little between rounds. Round 1 allotted 206 of the 209 state seats, and most students kept them. The Rajasthan Round 3 vacant seat matrix of 23 September 2026 showed 11 SMS Jaipur government seats vacant. They were 2 UR, 3 EWS, 3 ST, 1 MBC, 1 OBC and 1 SC.

How to get admission to SMS Medical College Jaipur

There is no separate college test or interview. Admission to the MBBS programme is through NEET UG counselling only, and the steps differ by quota.

All India Quota admission through MCC

1. Register on the MCC UG medical counselling portal and pay the fee and security deposit.

2. Fill and lock your choices, placing SMS Medical College, Jaipur where it sits in your real order of preference.

3. Check the allotment result. In Rounds 1 and 2, choose Freeze to keep the seat, or Float to keep it while asking for a better one.

4. Report in person to SMS Medical College Jaipur with original documents within the reporting dates.

Rajasthan state quota admission through the counselling board

1. Register on ug.neetrajasthan.com, the Rajasthan counselling website, by completing both Part 1 and Part 2 of the application form.

2. Pay the non-refundable registration fee: Rs. 2,500 for UR, EWS and non-domicile candidates, or Rs. 1,500 for SC, ST and ST-SA candidates of Rajasthan domicile.

3. Upload your documents. PwD candidates upload a certificate from one of the 62 MCC-approved medical boards. Defence, paramilitary and NRI candidates attend a physical verification.

4. Pay the security deposit of Rs. 50,000 for government MBBS seats, then fill and save your choices before auto-locking.

5. If SMS Jaipur is allotted, pay one year of tuition online to the account named in your allotment letter. Then report at the college desk in the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, with original documents and the bond.

6. Attend the medical examination at the college on the notified date. Admission is confirmed only once you are found medically fit.

SMS Medical College Jaipur fees 2026

The Rajasthan fee structure for government MBBS seats, 2026-27 applies to government, RUHS and RajMES colleges, including SMS Jaipur. It is set by the state government order of 30 September 2022.

Counselling fees and deposits for SMS Jaipur

The MCC figures come from the MCC UG Counselling 2026 Information Bulletin. For the state quota, the Rs. 50,000 security deposit is adjusted against the first-year tuition fee when a student joins. If no seat is allotted, it is refunded after counselling ends to the bank account given at registration.

The SMS Jaipur service bond

The Rajasthan bond order for NEET UG 2026 applies to All India Quota and state quota students on government seats. The student and a surety sign a bond on stamp paper worth at least Rs. 500. The bond carries these conditions:

• The student will not leave the MBBS course before it is complete.

• After the course, the student will serve the Government of Rajasthan for two years, at the pay the government sets.

• The college keeps all original certificates until the bond conditions are met.

• If the student breaks these conditions, the student and the surety must pay Rs. 10 lakh with interest, which the government can recover as arrears of land revenue.

The Rajasthan list of documents for joining asks for these originals at the college desk in the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur:

• NEET UG 2026 score card and admit card.

• Allotment letter from the chairman of the counselling board, in 6 copies, and the printed application form.

• Class 12 mark sheets showing Biology or Biotechnology, including every attempt if passed in more than one.

• Class 10 mark sheet or certificate, which also serves as proof of date of birth.

• Proof of the eligibility clause (I to XI) chosen in the application, and a domicile certificate where it applies.

• Transfer certificate and migration certificate.

• Photo ID, such as Aadhaar, PAN card, voter ID, passport or driving licence.

• Caste, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL or EWS certificate valid for 2026-27, where it applies.

• PwD eligibility certificate from an MCC-designated board, or defence or paramilitary certificates, where they apply.

• The bond in the set format, plus 4 passport size photographs and 2 sets of self-attested photocopies.

Documents to carry for All India Quota reporting

The MCC Information Bulletin lists these originals, with attested photocopies:

• MCC allotment letter, which names the college and category of the seat.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and rank letter issued by NTA, the National Testing Agency.

• Class 10 certificate, and a birth certificate if the Class 10 certificate does not show the date of birth.

• Class 12 certificate and mark sheet.

• Eight passport size photographs, the same as on the application form.

• Proof of identity, such as Aadhaar, PAN card, driving licence or passport.

• SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD certificate in the prescribed format, where it applies.

SMS Jaipur admission dates 2026

Counselling for NEET UG 2026 is in its third round, both nationally and in Rajasthan.

Sources: the MCC schedule dated 14 September 2026 and the Rajasthan Round 3 schedule dated 19 September 2026. Joined students can take part in Rajasthan Round 3 for an upgrade. Their joined college is kept as their last choice, so a student who is not upgraded keeps the seat.

What if you leave an SMS Jaipur seat?

Leaving a seat has a cost that rises with each round. Under the Rajasthan information bulletin for state quota seats:

• Round 1 is a free exit round. A student who does not join a Round 1 seat keeps the security deposit and can take part in later rounds.

• A student who joined in Round 1 and was not upgraded in Round 2 can resign within two days of the Round 2 result without losing the deposit.

• A student allotted a fresh or upgraded seat in Round 2 who does not join loses the security deposit, and must register and pay again to take part further.

• A student allotted a seat in Round 3 who does not join loses the deposit and cannot take part in the stray vacancy round.

• After joining in Round 3 or the stray vacancy round, a student cannot resign, and the bond conditions apply.

For All India Quota seats, MCC forfeits the security deposit if a candidate allotted in Round 2 or later does not join. A student who joins an All India Quota seat in Round 3 cannot resign and cannot take part in state counselling. MBBS course at SMS Medical College Jaipur

The MBBS at SMS Jaipur lasts 4 years and 6 months, followed by a one-year Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI). The course follows the NMC Competency Based Medical Education curriculum, which is the same for every MBBS college in India. The degree is awarded by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences.
