How to Apply
Admission Process for MBBS
MBBS admission is entrance-based; students need to first qualify NEET-UG. For the 15% All India Quota, admission goes through MCC counselling. For the Rajasthan state quota, admission goes through the NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board, which is chaired from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. After allotment, admission is completed through document verification, fee payment, and physical reporting at the allotted college.

The story of SMS Medical College began in 1947, when Rajasthan got its 15th centre for medical education in India.
The Early Years
In the beginning, the college functioned from the south wing of SMS Hospital and the building of the Jaipur Medical Association.
The First Principals
Dr. G. N. Sen was its first Principal, and he was later succeeded by Dr. S. C. Mehta.
Growth into a Major Institution
From that early start, the college grew into one of Rajasthan's main government medical institutions. Today it is attached to several hospitals, handles a very large patient load, and runs undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-speciality programmes.
