Assam Medical College Dibrugarh 2026: Seats, Cutoff

Assam Medical College Dibrugarh (AMC) is one of the oldest medical colleges in North East India, set up on 3 November 1947. It has 250 MBBS seats for 2026, filled only through NEET UG. In MCC Round 1 2026, All India Quota open seats went to NEET ranks 6,483 to 12,707.

Updated on 1 October 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • 250 MBBS seats for 2026-27. The NMC college and course search records annual renewal for 250 seats, up from 200. NMC, the National Medical Commission, is the body that approves medical colleges in India.

  • Two ways in. About 15 per cent of seats are All India Quota seats, filled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The rest are Assam state quota seats, filled by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam (DME Assam).

  • An open All India Quota seat needed a rank near 12,700 in Round 1. The MCC Round 1 result 2026 shows open seats at AMC going to ranks 6,483 to 12,707. In Round 2, the last new open seat went at 18,248.

  • Assam students needed a state rank inside about 300. In the DME Assam Round 1 select list 2026, the last unreserved state quota seat at AMC went to NEET rank 28,377, Assam state rank 297.

  • A 1,939 bed teaching hospital. The college's NIRF 2026 data submission lists 1,939 hospital beds and an average of 1,573 outpatients a day in 2024.

The school trained Licentiate Medical Practitioners (LMP) for undivided Assam.
