Poland MBBS fees at Lodz, Poznan and Bialystok: yearly tuition, six year totals in rupees, one-time fees, instalments and dorm costs. Plan your budget now.

Poland MBBS fees for the six year MD in English are 15,100 euros for the first year at both the Medical University of Lodz and the Medical University of Bialystok, and 71,000 Polish zloty (PLN) at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. That's roughly 16 to 17.5 lakh rupees for year one, and every university publishes its full fee table openly.
This guide puts the Poland MBBS fees of all three universities side by side, read straight from their own pages: the yearly tuition, what six years add up to in euros and rupees, the small one-time fees, how the instalments work and what a university dorm room costs. If you're a NEET student or a parent planning the money side of an MBBS in Europe, this is the page to keep open.
Key Takeaways
- Year one costs about the same everywhere. Lodz and Bialystok charge 15,100 euros for the first year, and Poznan charges 71,000 PLN, about 16,250 euros at the European Central Bank rate of 16 October 2026.
- Six years run from about 89,600 to 111,000 euros. That is roughly 96 lakh to 1.19 crore rupees at the same rate, with Lodz the lowest total.
- One-time fees are small. Lodz asks 24 euros to apply, Poznan 85 PLN plus a 600 PLN exam fee, and Bialystok 200 euros before the interview.
- You can pay in parts. Poznan splits the first year into four instalments, and Bialystok bills tuition per semester in euros or US dollars.
- University housing is affordable. A shared dorm room costs 640 to 790 PLN a month in Lodz and from 820 PLN a month in Poznan.
What are the Poland MBBS fees at each university?
Poland MBBS fees are set by each university, so Lodz and Bialystok bill in euros while Poznan bills in Polish zloty. All three teach a six year MD (Medicine) programme in English, the degree Indian students know as MBBS. Here is the published tuition for students starting in the 2026/2027 academic year:
| University | City | Year 1 | Later years | Billing currency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Medical University of Lodz | Lodz | 15,100 euros | 14,900 euros a year (years 2 to 6) | Euro |
| Poznan University of Medical Sciences | Poznan | 71,000 PLN | 71,000 PLN (year 2), 85,750 PLN a year (years 3 to 6) | Polish zloty |
| Medical University of Bialystok | Bialystok | 15,100 euros | 15,100 euros (years 2 and 3), 16,200 euros (years 4 and 5), 16,600 euros (year 6) | Euro (or US dollars on request) |
Each of these Poland MBBS fees comes from the official page: the Lodz tuition and other fees page, the Poznan tuition and costs of living page and the Bialystok tuition and fees page. Bialystok quotes its fee per semester (7,550 euros a semester in years 1 to 3, 8,100 euros in years 4 and 5, 8,300 euros in year 6), so the yearly numbers in the table are two semesters added together.
Bialystok also offers a US dollar option at 16,900 dollars for the first year, and its page says the tuition fee may rise by up to 30% over the six years. Poznan's page describes its numbers as the estimated costs for students starting in 2026/2027.

How much is six years of tuition in Poland?
Six years of tuition in Poland comes to 89,600 euros at Lodz, 94,300 euros at Bialystok and 485,000 PLN at Poznan, which is about 111,000 euros. Poznan publishes its own six year total; the Lodz and Bialystok totals are our additions of their yearly fees, so treat them as planning figures.
Here are the six year Poland MBBS fees in all three currencies:
| University | Six year tuition | In euros | In rupees (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medical University of Lodz | 89,600 euros (15,100 + 5 x 14,900) | 89,600 | 95.8 lakh |
| Medical University of Bialystok | 94,300 euros (3 x 15,100 + 2 x 16,200 + 16,600) | 94,300 | 1.01 crore |
| Poznan University of Medical Sciences | 485,000 PLN (published total) | about 110,980 | 1.19 crore |
So which is cheapest? On published Poland MBBS fees, Lodz has the lowest six year total and Poznan the highest, while Bialystok sits in between. The gap between Lodz and Bialystok is under 5,000 euros across six years, so city, exam format and timing can matter just as much as the fee.

What do Poland MBBS fees look like in rupees?
In rupees, Poland MBBS fees for year one are about 16.1 lakh at Lodz and Bialystok and about 17.4 lakh at Poznan. We converted at the European Central Bank's euro to rupee reference rate of 106.864 rupees per euro and its euro to zloty reference rate of 4.37 zloty per euro, both for 16 October 2026.
| Fee | Billed amount | Approx. in rupees |
|---|---|---|
| Lodz, year 1 | 15,100 euros | 16.1 lakh |
| Lodz, years 2 to 6 (each) | 14,900 euros | 15.9 lakh |
| Bialystok, years 1 to 3 (each) | 15,100 euros | 16.1 lakh |
| Bialystok, years 4 and 5 (each) | 16,200 euros | 17.3 lakh |
| Bialystok, year 6 | 16,600 euros | 17.7 lakh |
| Poznan, years 1 and 2 (each) | 71,000 PLN | 17.4 lakh |
| Poznan, years 3 to 6 (each) | 85,750 PLN | 21.0 lakh |
These rupee figures are a snapshot, not a quote. Your bank adds its own margin, and the rupee will move over six years. A fee billed in euros moves only with the euro to rupee rate, while a fee billed in zloty moves with the zloty too, so recheck the conversion before every payment.
What do you pay before your first lecture?
Before your first lecture you pay an application or admission fee and, at Bialystok, a short preparation course. These one-time Poland MBBS fees are a tiny share of the total, but they come first.
| University | Application or admission fee | Other one-time costs |
|---|---|---|
| Medical University of Lodz | 24 euros, non-refundable, paid before the online entrance exam | None listed |
| Poznan University of Medical Sciences | 85 PLN processing fee | 600 PLN exam and interview fee |
| Medical University of Bialystok | 200 euros (or 225 dollars), paid before the interview | 400 euros (or 450 dollars) for the mandatory online pre-course in September |
A few details make these one-time Poland MBBS fees easier to plan:
- Lodz runs its whole admission online, including the entrance exam on MS Teams, according to its application process page. You don't need to fly anywhere to sit it.
- Poznan lists its fees on the medicine admission requirements page, and once you've paid the 85 PLN processing fee you get practice quizzes drawn from its old exam questions.
- Bialystok charges no fee when you register. The 200 euro admission fee applies only to candidates who pass the first step of evaluation and go on to the interview.
The Bialystok pre-course lasts three weeks; for students starting in 2026 it ran from 7 to 25 September. For the entrance tests themselves, our guide to the MBBS entrance exam in Europe explains how to prepare.
How do you pay tuition in Poland?
Poland MBBS fees are paid by bank transfer straight to the university, and each one has its own rules:
- Poznan splits the first year's 71,000 PLN into four instalments: a 4,800 PLN down payment by the date in your acceptance e-mail (paying it is what puts you on the student list), then 22,066 PLN by 30 September, 22,066 PLN by 15 February and 22,068 PLN by 15 April. That schedule is the one published for 2026/2027.
- Bialystok bills per semester. You choose euros or US dollars when you apply, and you can change that choice only once during your studies. Euro payments go to an individual account number created for you in the online recruitment system.
- Lodz takes the application fee and tuition in euros by transfer to the university account. Its page asks you to cover all bank charges yourself, because the full amount has to arrive.

Five reasons Polish fees are easy to plan
Poland MBBS fees are easy to plan because each university puts its full schedule in writing before you apply. Here's what stood out when we read the three pages:
- Poznan shows all six years up front. Its table lists the fee for every academic year from 2026/2027 to 2031/2032, so you know the full 485,000 PLN before you start.
- Two of three universities bill in euros. At Lodz and Bialystok you only have to watch one exchange rate, the euro against the rupee.
- Entry costs are low. Applying to Lodz costs 24 euros, and its exam is online, so there's no travel cost to sit it.
- Instalments spread the load. Poznan's four first-year instalments and Bialystok's semester billing mean you never pay a whole year in one go.
- University dorms keep housing predictable. Both Lodz and Poznan publish monthly room prices, so the biggest living cost is known in advance too.
What does living in Poland cost?
Living costs come on top of Poland MBBS fees, and university housing keeps them manageable. Lodz lists double rooms in its halls of residence at 640 to 790 PLN a month for October to June, bookable once the first semester is paid, on its accommodation page. Poznan lists dorm places from 820 PLN a month for a shared double room up to 1,680 PLN for a double room on your own, with a 2,000 PLN dorm deposit.
Poznan also gives a full monthly estimate for living in Poland: 800 to 1,600 US dollars, covering accommodation, food, transport, health insurance and phone. When do you apply for the 2027 intake?
The 2027 cycle is already moving. Poznan opened admission for the fall 2027 entry on 1 September 2026, takes online applications until 20 July 2027 and starts classes on 6 September 2027. Its entrance examination page lists exam sessions from March to July 2027, including a session in India in May with the date still to be announced.
Poland MBBS fees for 2027/2028 starters may differ from the 2026/2027 figures above, so recheck them when you apply. Lodz opens admission on 15 January 2027, with exam sessions and the deadline still to be advised and classes starting on 1 October, according to its application calendar. Bialystok's 2027 dates weren't shown on the pages we read, so check its admission pages directly.

How do you plan your Poland MBBS fees step by step?
Plan your Poland MBBS fees in a fixed order: the exam first, then the shortlist, then the money. Here's the sequence we suggest.
- Check where you stand for NEET first. NEETsheet explains the NEET qualifying marks and the NEET 2027 eligibility criteria, and its post on the NEET 2027 exam date helps you line up your timetable with the Polish entrance exams.
- Shortlist one, two or all three universities by city, currency and six year total, using the tables above.
- Open each official fee page and note the intake year it applies to, because the 2027/2028 figures can differ.
- Set aside the one-time costs: the application or admission fee, the Poznan exam fee and the Bialystok pre-course.
- Pick your exam slot early: Poznan's sessions start in March 2027, and Lodz opens on 15 January 2027.
- Arrange the first payment before enrolment, whether that's Poznan's 4,800 PLN down payment or a first semester at Lodz or Bialystok.
- Book university housing as soon as your first payment is made.
