Who is eligible for MP Shah Medical College Jamnagar MBBS?

• OCI card holders. The same ACPUGMEC page notes that, after a Supreme Court judgment of 3 February 2023, OCI card holders can apply. For the state quota, they still need the Gujarat schooling and birth or domicile condition.

Who cannot apply for the state quota: a student who studied Class 10 or Class 12 outside Gujarat. That student can still compete for the All India Quota seats.

How to get admission to MP Shah Medical College Jamnagar

All India Quota admission through MCC

1. Register on the MCC UG counselling portal and pay the counselling fee online. Only candidates who have paid the full fee move to the next step, as the MCC UG Counselling 2026 Information Bulletin says.

2. Fill and lock your choices. Add MP Shah Medical College, Jamnagar with the course MBBS in the order you prefer it.

3. Check the seat allotment result on the MCC portal on the date in the schedule.

4. Choose Freeze or Float. Freeze means you accept the seat and will not upgrade. Float means you keep the seat but want a better one in the next round.

5. Upload clear scanned copies of your documents on the MCC portal. The bulletin asks both Freeze and Float candidates to do this, ideally within two to three days of the result.

6. If you chose Freeze, report in person at the college in Jamnagar. The college checks your original documents and collects the admission fee there. If you chose Float, the college checks your documents online.

Gujarat state quota admission through ACPUGMEC

1. Register online on the ACPUGMEC UG admission page and verify your documents at a help centre.

2. Check your name and rank on the state merit list for your category.

3. Fill your choices online. Add MP Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in the order you prefer it.

4. Check the allotment result and the last-rank list for your round.

5. Pay the tuition fee at a designated HDFC Bank branch or online, as the committee directs. The committee says payments at any other HDFC branch are not counted for admission.

6. Report as instructed and confirm your admission within the dates for that round.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard. These prove your rank and marks.

One Gujarat rule matters from Round 3. The ACPUGMEC notice of 25 September 2026 says help centres will check only original documents from Round 3 onwards. DigiLocker copies and colour printouts will not be accepted. Carry the originals and one set of self-attested photocopies.

What if you do not report or want to leave the seat?

Both quotas punish a missed step. In Gujarat, after Round 2, ACPUGMEC published two lists on its UG page. One listed candidates who did not report. The other listed candidates who cancelled their admission. In both cases, the refundable security deposit was forfeited and the candidate was removed from the merit list.

The Gujarat committee also sets short windows for cancelling a seat. For 2026, the cancellation window before Round 3 ran from 10:00 AM on 24 September to 12:00 noon on 26 September 2026, at the help centre where the student reported.

In MCC counselling, a Freeze candidate who does not report physically loses the seat. A Float candidate who does not upload documents in time can lose the seat too. The MCC Information Bulletin sets out these rules in its chapter on reporting, upgradation and resignation.
