Introduction
Nagaon Medical College & Hospital (NMCH) is a government medical college at Nagaon, in central Assam. It was inaugurated on 14 April 2023 by the Prime Minister and admitted its first MBBS batch of 100 students in September 2023. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati. It admits about 100 MBBS students each year, filled purely on NEET-UG merit through the 15% All India Quota (MCC) and the 85% Assam state quota. As a new college, postgraduate programmes may not yet be offered — confirm the current PG position with the institute. Its attached Nagaon Medical College Hospital has about 500 beds (verify).

How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Nagaon Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Assam state quota via the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam. There is no management or NRI quota.
The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.

History
Nagaon Medical College was inaugurated on 14 April 2023 by the Prime Minister and began its first academic session in September 2023 with a batch of 100 MBBS students.

Housing
