Important: MBBS in Uzbekistan is a direct-entry programme after Class 12, not a graduate-entry degree. The six-year course includes clinical training integrated into the final years, and progression is governed by university and Ministry of Health examinations before the degree is awarded.

Students must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, and must have qualified NEET-UG, which the NMC makes mandatory for Indian students studying medicine abroad.

Age Requirement
Candidates must meet the following criterion at the time of admission:
- Minimum age 17Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the year of admission.
Entrance & Application Requirements
Indian applicants must have a valid NEET-UG result; most Uzbek universities do not require a separate entrance test or IELTS / TOEFL.
NEET-UG
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, mandatory for Indian students and required for later FMGE eligibility.
Class 12 Merit + University Application
Admission is offered on Class 12 marks and NEET score through the university application / invitation process; no IELTS or TOEFL is usually required as teaching is in English.
For Students Planning to Return to India: NEET-UG is required before admission, not just afterwards, because the National Medical Commission (NMC) makes it compulsory for any Indian student pursuing MBBS abroad. After graduating, you must also clear the FMGE (or the NExT, once implemented) to obtain registration and practise in India.

Study Visa
Student Visa Overview
Indian students study in Uzbekistan on a student visa. Once your admission is confirmed, the university issues an official invitation approved by the authorities, which you use to apply for the visa.
Accept your offer from a recognised university; it issues an official invitation letter, approved by the Uzbek authorities, that forms the basis of your visa application.
Arrange your NEET scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, passport, passport photos, birth certificate and a medical fitness report (including HIV test).
Submit the student-visa application with your invitation and documents to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India, or apply through the official e-visa system where eligible.
Provide the required paperwork and complete any verification requested by the mission.
The student visa is issued for entry; it is later extended in Uzbekistan for the study period.
Enter Uzbekistan, report to your university, complete migration registration / temporary residence, and renew the visa each year as required.

How to Practise
Your Path After MBBS in Uzbekistan
After MBBS
Finish the six-year MBBS at a recognised Uzbek medical university, including the integrated clinical training in the final years.
Pass the final state attestation and receive your medical degree, then have your documents attested for use abroad.
To practise in India, qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examinations, or the NExT once it replaces the FMGE.
After clearing the screening exam and completing any required internship, register with the National Medical Commission and your State Medical Council in India.
Compete for a PG seat through NEET PG (or NExT once it starts) in India, or pursue clinical residency / masters (magistratura) training in Uzbekistan.
Alternatively, prepare for licensing exams such as the USMLE (USA, where the university is ECFMG-eligible) or PLAB (UK) to train abroad.
Start clinical practice or enter a residency / PG training programme in your chosen specialty.
