Pyotr F. Borovsky
Pyotr Fokich Borovsky was a distinguished physician and surgeon whose name is remembered in 'Borovsky's disease' (cutaneous leishmaniasis), after his description of its causative organism. He served as a dean of the medical faculty of the predecessor of Tashkent Medical Academy in the 1920s and is one of the most notable figures in the history of medicine in Tashkent.
