SSPM Medical College Sindhudurg
The College
Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Medical College and Lifetime Hospital was established in 2020 at Padve, Kudal taluka, in Maharashtra's Konkan region. It has 150 MBBS seats and a teaching hospital with over 500 beds.
The College Does Not Set the Fee
The Fee Regulating Authority of Maharashtra approves one annual tuition fee for each MUHS-affiliated private medical college. Colleges cannot decide their own MBBS fee.
The 85-15 Split
85 percent of seats go to the State Merit Quota for Maharashtra-domiciled candidates at the FRA-approved fee. The remaining 15 percent is the Institutional and NRI quota, open to all-India candidates.
Institutional Seats Cost Far More
Institutional and NRI seats are priced at roughly three to five times the approved merit fee. That gap is where most of the confusion about this college's fees comes from.
The Statewide Range
For 2026-27, FRA-approved annual fees at Maharashtra's private medical colleges run from about Rs 6.21 lakh to Rs 15.57 lakh for the state merit quota.
No Direct Admission Exists
Every seat, institutional quota included, is allotted through centralised State CET Cell counselling on NEET UG merit. Any agent promising direct admission is selling something the state does not permit.
Where To Check the Number
Fee figures on admission-consultancy sites vary widely and go stale fast. The FRA approved fee schedule and the State CET Cell CAP documents carry the current figure for this college.
