NMC Eligibility Certificate: Apply by 7 October, 6 pm

NMC eligibility certificate: the window shuts on 7 October

The portal closes on 7 October at 6 pm

The National Medical Commission reopened eligibility certificate applications on 1 October at 10 am. They close on 7 October 2026 at 6 pm, at application.nmc.org.in.

Without it you cannot apply for FMGE

The eligibility certificate is the National Medical Commission confirming your foreign medical course counts. A candidate who needs one cannot apply for FMGE without it.

If you applied before, do not apply again

The notice says candidates who have already applied for the eligibility certificate in the past need not apply again. This window is for those who have not.

An incomplete application is rejected outright

The public notice is blunt. Incomplete applications in any form will not be processed and will be summarily rejected, and the portal closes after 7 October.

Fill it yourself and keep documents open

The advisory asks candidates to fill the form themselves rather than through anyone else, to keep their original documents to hand, and to check every entry against them.

Keep your File Tracking Number safe

The portal generates a File Tracking Number when you submit. Status queries go to eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in, and the notice says no reply is sent without that number.

Want to know more about FMGE itself

Our FMGE guide covers who must sit the exam, what the eligibility rules say about a course taken abroad, the exam pattern, and the pass rates from recent sessions.
