NEET UG 2027 and Computer Based Testing

NEET UG 2027 computer based test is still undecided

No notification has been issued

NTA has published no notice on the mode of NEET UG 2027, and the exam does not appear in the NTA calendar published up to March 2027.

The government calls it under consideration

A high powered task force on exam reforms, chaired by Nandan Nilekani, invited public suggestions in August 2026 on the use of secure computer based testing.

Suggestions closed on 13 September 2026

The task force took suggestions through a government portal until 13 September 2026, which means the design questions were still open a fortnight ago.

The task force covers more than the mode

Its remit runs to the conduct, security, design and governance of public examinations, including those run by the National Testing Agency.

What is fixed for now

Until NTA issues an information bulletin for NEET UG 2027, the mode, pattern and dates are not settled. The bulletin is the document that decides.

How to prepare while it is open

The syllabus and the qualifying rules are unchanged. A shift in mode would change how you sit the paper, not what the paper asks.
