NEET PG 2026: why scores do not match recalls

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences declared the NEET PG 2026 result on 24 September, with raw scores and ranks for 265,960 candidates.

Candidates say the scores do not match

Since the result, candidates have said publicly that the score on their result does not match what they worked out from question papers recalled after the exam.

A recalled paper was never your paper

The board shuffles the questions and the four options for every candidate. Its disclosure is keyed to a master set by question number, so a recall cannot match.

Your own responses arrive on 1 October

From 1 October each candidate can log in and see the question numbers, the correct answer, the answer they marked and the score for every question.

The question paper itself is not coming

The bulletin says the board will not share any content of the exam, including the paper. It adds that no question was found technically incorrect on review.

There is no rechecking or re-totalling

The bulletin rules out re-evaluation, rechecking and re-totalling of marked responses. The window to challenge a question for a technical error closed on 1 September.
