NEET PG Counselling Fees: What You Pay Before a Seat

NEET PG counselling: what you pay before you get a seat

Two payments, and only one comes back

Registering for NEET PG counselling means a registration fee that is never refunded and a security deposit that is. The Medical Counselling Committee sets both amounts.

All India Quota costs Rs 1,000 and Rs 25,000

For All India Quota seats an unreserved or EWS candidate pays Rs. 1,000 as fee and Rs. 25,000 as deposit. For SC, ST, OBC and PwD it is Rs. 500 and Rs. 10,000.

Deemed universities ask for two lakh

A deemed university choice costs Rs. 5,000 as fee and Rs. 2,00,000 as security deposit, and that deposit is the same for every category, reserved or not.

Round 1 has a free exit

If you are allotted a seat in Round 1 freeze category and do not report, it counts as a free exit. You can still join Round 2 on the same registration.

From Round 2 the deposit is gone

The bulletin says the security deposit is forfeited for a candidate allotted in Round 2 or a later round who does not join, or who surrenders the seat for any reason.

The refund goes back one way only

The deposit is refunded only to the bank account the payment came from. HLL Lifecare Ltd collects and refunds it on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee.
