MCC NEET PG Round 2 2026 Rescheduled From 7 November
MCC has put Round 2 of NEET PG counselling 2026 on hold until a new seat matrix is verified. Registration planned for 6 November now starts on or after 7 November 2026.
What the MCC notice of 3 November says
The seat matrix for newly approved Round 2 seats reached MCC from NMC on 3 November 2026. Institutes verify it after applying the reservation roster till 6 November, so Round 2 is rescheduled from 7 November onwards.
The Round 2 dates that no longer hold
The 29 October schedule had Round 2 registration 6 to 11 November, result 14 November and reporting 16 to 23 November 2026. MCC will post a fresh Round 2 schedule; none of these dates applies now.
Why new seats delay Round 2
NMC's PG seat matrix of 29 September 2026 left out seats still awaiting approval. Those seats are now added for Round 2, so the Round 2 matrix will show seats that were not offered in Round 1.
Who can take part in Round 2
Fresh registration is open to anyone who skipped Round 1. Round 1 non-allottees and free-exit candidates log in again with the same details. Round 1 joiners take part only if they marked upgradation as Yes.
Deposits and the forfeiture rule
AIQ security deposit is Rs 25,000 for UR and EWS, Rs 10,000 for reserved categories; deemed universities take Rs 2 lakh. Round 1 had free exit. Skip a Round 2 seat and the deposit is forfeited.
What to do before the new dates arrive
Keep your Round 1 joining proof if you joined. Prepare fresh choices, because Round 2 needs new choice filling and locking. Check mcc.nic.in each morning for the revised schedule; the 29 October plan still lists Round 3 from 26 November.
