FMGE October 2026 Registration: Apply by 25 September

FMGE October 2026 registration is open, applications close on 25 September

The four dates that matter

Registration opened on 11 September 2026 at 5 pm and closes on 25 September at 11.55 pm. The exam is on 31 October 2026, and NBEMS will declare results by 30 November 2026.

Why there is a third FMGE this year

The June 2026 session passed 12.77% of candidates, the lowest in recent years. After sustained protests by foreign medical graduates, NBEMS added an October cycle so candidates would not wait until December.

What NBEMS changed alongside it

NBEMS committed to a fixed difficulty split of 30% easy, 50% moderate and 20% difficult questions, a lower application fee, and release of detailed candidate response sheets. June 2026 results stay unchanged.

The exam is 300 questions, and 150 clears it

FMGE is a computer-based test of 300 multiple choice questions, split into two parts of 150 with 150 minutes each. There is no negative marking, and the passing mark is 150 out of 300.

Who is eligible to apply

Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India holding a primary medical qualification from outside India, with results declared by 31 August 2026. Candidates who began studying from 2018 onwards also need a NEET qualification.

Three windows to fix your application

The standard edit window runs 29 to 30 September 2026. Applications with deficient images can be corrected from 3 to 19 October, and the final document rectification deadline is 21 October 2026.
