FMGE exam frequency: three sittings a year now

NBEMS moved from two sittings to three

A notice dated 28 August 2026 says NBEMS has decided to conduct FMGE thrice every year instead of biannually, and to run it on a computer based platform.

A failed attempt now costs about four months

With three sittings instead of two, the gap between attempts narrows from roughly six months to about four, so a graduate who misses one sitting waits less.

The October 2026 sitting is the first of three

FMGE October 2026 is set for 31 October 2026 on a computer based platform, with the result due by 30 November 2026, four weeks after the paper.

The fee fell between June and October

The October sitting costs Rs. 4,650 including GST, against Rs. 6,195 for the June 2026 sitting, which is a drop of Rs. 1,545 between the two.

The January sitting has moved already

The session set for 9 January 2027 will be rescheduled to a later date in January or February 2027, which NBEMS has yet to notify.

More sittings do not change the pass rate

FMGE has not cleared 26% since 2020. The rate ran 16.48% in 2020, 24.54% in 2021, 23.35% in 2022, 16.65% in 2023, 25.80% in 2024 and 23.94% in December 2025.
