FMGE on 31 October: How the Day Actually Runs
FMGE exam day, hour by hour
Two papers, one day, 150 questions each
Part one runs from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and part two from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Each part gets 153 minutes, the extra three to cover the attendance checks.
The gate shuts half an hour before the paper
Entry opens at 7:00 am and closes at 8:30 am for part one. For part two it opens at 12 noon and closes at 1:30 pm. After that nobody goes in.
Admit cards go live on 27 October
They appear on the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences website and are never posted. Print the barcoded card in colour, because black and white is refused.
Carry one original photo identity document
A PAN card, driving licence, voter identity card, passport or Aadhaar with a photograph. If you agreed to Aadhaar checking, carry it and make sure it is unlocked.
A name mismatch ends it at the door
If the name on your photo identity does not match the admit card, entry is refused. A marriage certificate or a gazette notice is what proves a changed name.
Nothing is kept for you at the centre
There is no arrangement to hold candidates' belongings. Anything barred found past the security check is treated as use of unfair means, so leave it at home.
