A New Karnataka Medical College
Farookh Academy of Medical Education, known as FAME, is a private medical college in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2020 and is among the newer entrants to Karnataka's medical map.
100 MBBS Seats
The college received NMC approval as a new establishment with an annual intake of 100 MBBS seats from the 2025-26 academic session.
Admission Runs Through NEET UG
Entry is based on the NEET UG score. Seats are filled through Karnataka state counselling conducted by KEA, along with management and NRI quota seats as per state rules.
Course Structure
MBBS runs 4.5 years of academic study followed by a one-year compulsory rotating internship. This is the standard NMC structure across every Indian medical college.
What To Check First
For any newly approved college, check the attached teaching hospital's bed strength, the year the first MBBS batch was admitted, and whether clinical departments are fully staffed.
First Batches Have No Seniors
An early MBBS batch studies without senior batches on campus. That affects clinical exposure, mentorship and internship placement in the first few years.
Confirm on the NMC List
Check current approval status and sanctioned intake on the NMC list of medical colleges before entering this college in your counselling choices.
