BSP Medical College and Hospital is a new private medical college in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, formerly Aurangabad. The city already had one government, one private and one deemed medical college.
150 MBBS Seats
NMC approved the college with an annual intake of 150 MBBS seats. Together with 50 added at the Government Medical College on the MUHS campus in Nashik, that is around 200 new seats for Maharashtra this year.
Who Runs It
The college is run by Shiva Trust, which has operated institutes in pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, Ayurveda, homoeopathy, law and paramedical education for over two decades.
605-Bed Teaching Hospital
The attached teaching hospital has a capacity of 605 beds and covers the major clinical and para-clinical departments required for MBBS training.
Affiliation and Admission
The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. Admission runs on NEET UG merit through centralised Maharashtra CET Cell counselling. Private colleges in the state take no direct admissions.
