Georgia leads on the outcome that matters

Georgian graduates recorded a 35.65% FMGE pass rate in 2024, from 4,221 candidates. Georgia's accrediting body NCEQE is recognised by WFME, and its education ministry has confirmed the six year structure meets NMC rules.

Russia has improved the most, at the regional universities

Russian graduates went from 14.80% FMGE in 2020 to 29.54% in 2024, across 11,276 candidates. Kazan Federal University charges RUB 653,400 a year and teaches fully in English, which works out near Rs. 48 lakh for six years.

Bangladesh clears the NMC rule with room to spare

Five academic years is 60 months against the 54 month minimum, followed by a 12 month internship. Bangladeshi graduates recorded 32.38% in FMGE 2024, the second highest of any high volume destination.

Nepal is the only country with a legal fee ceiling

The Medical Education Commission caps total MBBS tuition, at NPR 45,95,720 outside the Kathmandu Valley for the current year, roughly Rs. 28.7 lakh. Nepali graduates recorded 30.12% in FMGE 2024.

Poland competes on quality rather than price

Warsaw and other Polish universities charge around EUR 13,700 a year for a six year, 360 ECTS English taught programme, per the Polish government study portal. That is comparable to an Indian private seat, with EU clinical standards.

One rule decides whether any of it counts

Under the NMC Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021, the course must run at least 54 months, the 12 month internship must be at the same institution, teaching must be in English, and no part may happen in India.
