How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Bihar state quota via BCECEB/UGMAC (Directorate of Medical Education, Bihar). Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences was established in 2013 at Pawapuri, Nalanda, and renamed Bhagwan Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences by the Bihar government in 2022 to honour the site's Jain heritage (Pawapuri is the place of Lord Mahavira's nirvana).
