Tinsukia Medical College & Hospital (TMCH) is a government medical college in Tinsukia district, in the Upper Assam region of Assam. Its foundation stone was laid in 2019 and it was inaugurated in March 2024, becoming Assam's thirteenth government medical college. It is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati. It admits 100 MBBS students each year, filled purely on NEET-UG merit through the 15% All India Quota (MCC) and the 85% Assam state quota.
As a new college (inaugurated 2024), postgraduate programmes may not yet be offered — confirm the current PG position with the institute. As a government college, MBBS tuition is very low and there is no management or NRI quota. How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Tinsukia Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Assam state quota via the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam. There is no management or NRI quota.
The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.

Tinsukia Medical College & Hospital is a government medical college in Tinsukia district, Assam. Its foundation stone was laid on 7 January 2019, and it was inaugurated in March 2024, beginning its academic journey the same year as Assam's thirteenth government medical college.
The college started with an MBBS intake of 100 seats (NMC-approved; verify current intake). As a new college it is still developing its departments; confirm any postgraduate offering with the institute.
