Admission Process for MBBS
Admission to MBBS at St. John's is through NEET-UG followed by counselling regulated by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA); students should check the KEA website for counselling schedules. The campus spreads over approximately 148 acres. The academic building has about 10 lecture halls with audio-visual facilities (each seating ~350 students), an examination hall seating ~800, and about 4 auditoria seating up to ~1,000.
St. John's Medical College Hospital has approximately 40+ full-fledged departments and about 2,000 beds, handling around 2,000 OP and 200 IP cases daily for extensive practical exposure.
Several departments have museums and laboratories, and a skills laboratory helps students build clinical skills in a less-stressful atmosphere before working with patients.
The central library, the Zablocki Learning Centre, holds approximately 44,900 books, 23,855 textbooks, 9,770 individual titles, 8,850 reference books, and 580 rare books, with computer labs, internet access, and audiovisual materials.
Sports facilities include basketball and volleyball courts, football and hockey fields, tennis courts, cricket grounds, and a well-maintained athletics track.
The campus has a modern gymnasium and indoor games facilities including chess, carrom, and badminton.
