SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre was started in 2005 in Chennai and is one of the seven colleges of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) campus, affiliated to SRMIST. How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

Admission to MBBS at SRM Chennai (a deemed university) is through NEET-UG followed by All India Quota counselling conducted by MCC under the deemed medical college section. Students register, pay the fee, choose SRM Medical College in choice filling and lock it; seats are allotted on NEET rank and availability over rounds. After the final allotment, students report to the college to confirm the seat and complete fee payment and document verification.

The academic block has lecture halls (150–200 capacity, multimedia projectors and smartboards), a 1,200-seat air-conditioned convocation centre and 40-seat seminar halls per department. The anatomy dissection hall holds 250 students (75 tables, 1:10 cadaver ratio) with a museum (212 wet, 280 dry specimens); physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology have demo halls, labs and museums. The hospital has 1,500+ beds, 22+ modular OTs and 7+ ICUs. The two-floor, ~3,000 sq m central medical library (270 + 280 seats) holds ~22,394 books, 74 international and 62 national journals, 4,414 bound volumes and 1,071 theses, and there is a sports complex, AC gymnasium and 7 cafeterias (smart-card enabled).
