Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute is a private institute under the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER). Started in 1985, it was one of the first few colleges in India permitted to admit 250 MBBS students very early on. How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Sri Ramachandra is through NEET-UG followed by counselling managed by MCC under the deemed-university category. Students fill the college name during choice filling and lock it before the deadline; seats are allotted on merit each round, and selected candidates report to the college to pay the first-year tuition, hostel, and other fees and submit documents to confirm their seats.
The student must have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

Category-wise minimum PCB marks are required; approximately 50% for General and 40% for reserved categories.

Sri Ramachandra's Porur campus features air-conditioned lecture theatres, the ~1,800-bed Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, a 40,000+ sq ft central library, departmental laboratories, dissection halls, an anatomy museum, a clinical simulation lab, an auditorium, sports grounds, a lap pool, a gym, and hostels.
There are approximately 4 main lecture theatres (each seating ~250 students). All classrooms are fully air-conditioned with projectors, smart boards, and internet, and some are inside the hospital for bedside teaching.
