Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada is one of Andhra Pradesh's established medical colleges, founded in November 1980 by the Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education and later run as a government college. Named after Siddhartha (Gautama Buddha), whose figure adorns its landmark building, it stands on a campus of about 57 acres at Gunadala in Vijayawada. The college is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Dr. YSR / Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, and admits 175 MBBS students each year, alongside a wide range of postgraduate programmes. How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

Admission to MBBS at Siddhartha Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. Of the 175 seats, 15% fall under the All India Quota, allotted through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and 85% fall under the Andhra Pradesh state quota, counselled by Dr. YSR / Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. State-quota seats follow Andhra Pradesh reservation rules and require local/domicile status. There is no private or NRI quota at this government college.

The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.
