Shri Krishna Medical College & Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur is a government medical college in Muzaffarpur, in North Bihar. Established in 1970 and named after Sri Krishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of Bihar, it is one of the oldest and largest medical institutions in the region. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Bihar University of Health Sciences (BUHS), Patna. It admits 120 MBBS students each year, filled purely on NEET-UG merit through the 15% All India Quota (MCC) and the 85% Bihar state quota (BCECEB/UGMAC), and also runs postgraduate MD/MS programmes and super-specialty services. Its attached Shri Krishna Medical College Hospital is a tertiary teaching hospital with 610-plus beds, and the campus also hosts a Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre).

How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Shri Krishna Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Bihar state quota via the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Bihar, and the BCECEB/UGMAC portal. There is no management or NRI quota.
The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.

Minimum qualifying-exam marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together: 50% for General/EWS, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwBD candidates (per NEET-UG norms).

Shri Krishna Medical College & Hospital was established in 1970 at Muzaffarpur, named after Sri Krishna Singh (the first Chief Minister of Bihar), with Dr. S.M. Nawab as its founding principal, to serve North Bihar.
The college has a 120-seat MBBS intake (NMC-recognised) and runs postgraduate MD/MS programmes, with super-specialty and cancer-care services (Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre) on campus.

Housing
