SCB Cuttack
Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital (S.C.B. Medical College) is a government medical college in Cuttack, Odisha, named after Sriram Chandra Bhanj Deo, the Maharajah of the Mayurbhanj princely state. Recognised by the National Medical Commission, it ranked 44th in the NIRF 2022 ranking and is one of India's oldest centres of medical training. The college is under a '5T' redevelopment plan to be transformed into an AIIMS-plus institution with approximately 5,000+ beds in two phases, and it trains about 2,000+ medical and paramedical professionals every year.

History Information
19th-Century Roots & Orissa Medical School (1875)
The college traces its roots to a 19th-century dispensary / First Aid Centre on the present premises, later converted into a small hospital by the British. In 1875, through the efforts of Dr. Stewart, the Orissa Medical School came into being with a capacity of 20 Licentiate Medical Practitioner students, affiliated with the Bihar and Orissa Medical Examination Board.
