Introduction
MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai, was established in 1989 under the Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust and is a constituent unit of MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS), recognised as a deemed university in 2006. Funded by the MGM Trust (led by Kamalkishore Kadam), it started with 100 MBBS seats and has expanded to about 200 NMC-approved undergraduate seats, 136 postgraduate seats and 7 super-specialty seats.

How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at MGM (a deemed university) is through NEET-UG followed by MCC/DGHS counselling. The ~200 seats are split into 15% NRI and 85% management-quota seats. Students with a seat-allotment letter must visit the college in person (no proxy) to submit documents and fees; the college stays open on weekends and holidays during counselling, and students can join immediately after formalities.
The student must have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
Subjects:
Minimum PCB marks are approximately 50% for the general category, 40% for reserved categories, and 45% for PwD students.

MGM Medical College Hospital is a ~1,000-bed facility with emergency care, trauma and super-specialty services, modular OTs, a cath lab and a closed critical-care system. Of its ~15 OTs, 6 are clean, 1 septic, 1 minor, 1 emergency, 2 obstetric (with septic), 1 endoscopy and 2 super-specialty (with GE C-arms). Classrooms seat 200+ (larger, AC, with LCD projectors and voice reinforcement) and 40 (smaller); there are departmental libraries, seminar halls, NABL path labs, spiral CT, ultrasound/Doppler, mammography and echo labs, plus pathology, pharmacology, anatomy, community-medicine and microbiology museums. The MGM Skills Lab (established 2015) and a SIRO-approved central research lab (tissue culture, molecular diagnostics, immunology) support training and research. The ~22,600-document central library, university bus service, sports grounds (cricket, football, athletics) and a botanical garden complete the campus.
