Lakhimpur Medical College & Hospital (LMCH) is a government medical college at North Lakhimpur, in the north-bank region of Upper Assam. It is the eighth government medical college of Assam and began functioning on 1 October 2021, attached to the North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati. It admits about 100 MBBS students each year, filled purely on NEET-UG merit through the 15% All India Quota (MCC) and the 85% Assam state quota. As a new college, postgraduate programmes may not yet be offered — confirm the current PG position with the institute.

How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Lakhimpur Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Assam state quota via the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam. There is no management or NRI quota.
The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.
