K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) was established in 1999 and became a constituent college of NITTE (a deemed-to-be-university) in 2009. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission and the Malaysian Medical Council, and was ranked 45th in the NIRF 2021. How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

Admission to MBBS at KSHEMA (a deemed university) is through NEET-UG followed by MCC counselling for deemed-university seats. All seats — including NRI and general seats — are filled through this process, on merit. Students with a final allotment must report to the campus in person (no proxy allowed) to complete document verification and fee payment.

Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital has ~1,200 beds, 18 operating theatres, 67 advanced-ICU beds, 12 broad and 15 super specialities, plus cath labs, dialysis units, an IVF unit, a cancer unit, trauma centres, the da Vinci robot and Velys robotic knee technology. Academic labs (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry) have a 1.5T MRI, 128-slice CT and advanced microscopes. Sports facilities include a 400 m athletic turf track, 2 turf football grounds, a cricket pitch, floodlit tennis/badminton/volleyball/throwball courts, indoor games and a ~5,500 sq ft air-conditioned multi-gym. The ~2,512 sq m central library (350 users) holds ~21,412 books and extensive e-resources.
