How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

KIMS has an annual MBBS intake of approximately 250 seats, filled through NEET-UG followed by counselling. All seats — including management and institutional quota — are filled under the MCC's All India Deemed University counselling. There are two seat categories: Indian, and NRI / Management quota (15% of seats). After seat allotment, students report to the college to complete admission formalities and pay the fees.

History Information

Founded in 2007 by Dr. Achyuta Samanta

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences is a private, deemed-university medical college under KIIT University, started in 2007 by Dr. & Prof. Achyuta Samanta — also the founder of KIIT and the social institute KISS. The college's infrastructure has expanded rapidly over the past few years.

Early Milestones (2015)

In 2015, the college set up a national ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) monitoring centre on campus and launched specialty services including liver transplantation and the first TAVR valve replacement in Odisha.
