Established in 2020 and named after Jannayak Karpoori Thakur, the former Chief Minister of Bihar and Bharat Ratna awardee, it is one of Bihar's newer government medical colleges. How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College is entirely through NEET-UG merit. As a government college, seats are filled through two routes: the 15% All India Quota via MCC counselling and the 85% Bihar state quota via the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Bihar through BCECEB/UGMAC. There is no management or NRI quota.
The student must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.
