It is a government medical college in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated to Atal Medical and Research University, Nerchowk, and admits 120 MBBS students a year on NEET-UG merit. It also runs postgraduate (MD/MS) programmes. As a government college, MBBS tuition is low — around ₹55,000 a year — one of the most affordable routes into medicine. Admission Process for MBBS
Admission to MBBS at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla is entirely through NEET-UG merit.
