HIMSR Delhi

Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR), Delhi, was established in July 2012 with the support of Jamia Hamdard. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission and affiliated with Jamia Hamdard, a deemed-to-be-university under the Ministry of Education. How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

Admission to MBBS at HIMSR is through NEET-UG followed by MCC counselling under the All India Quota for deemed-to-be-universities. Of the 150 seats, 50% (75) are reserved for Muslim-minority candidates, 52 are unreserved, and 23 are for NRI-sponsored or foreign candidates. Allotted candidates undergo a medical examination by an HIMSR board; if found unfit, MCC's decision is final. Selected candidates then complete fee payment and documentation to confirm the seat.

HIMSR is located inside the ~100-acre Jamia Hamdard campus, with academic, hostel and hospital blocks. Lecture theatres seat ~720 (hospital block) and ~180 and ~120 (college building), all air-conditioned with AV facilities; an auditorium and examination hall each seat 500, with separate common rooms. The central library seats ~300 readers (125 inside, 175 outside) with two e-sections (52 computer nodes). The college building has ~10 teaching/research labs (anatomy histology lab & dissection hall; physiology mammalian & haematology labs) and a central research lab; four rural and one urban health centre serve the community-medicine department. Hakeem Abdul Hameed Centenary Hospital has ~710 beds across two blocks (old and new), with 9 major and 4 minor operating theatres.
