Set on a 70-acre campus and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) after inspection, it is affiliated to Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, with an annual intake of 150 MBBS students. The college is attached to the Government General Hospital (GGH), Vizianagaram, a multi-specialty tertiary-care and referral hospital, which serves as its teaching hospital. How to Apply
Admission Process for MBBS
Admission to MBBS at GMC Vizianagaram is entirely through NEET-UG merit. Of the 150 seats, 15% fall under the All India Quota, allotted through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and 85% fall under the Andhra Pradesh state quota, counselled by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. State-quota seats follow Andhra Pradesh reservation rules and require local/domicile status.
