Government Medical College, Srinagar (GMC Srinagar) is a public medical college started in 1959 — the first medical college in Jammu & Kashmir and one of the oldest in North India. How to Apply
Admission Process for MBBS
Admission to MBBS at GMC Srinagar is through NEET-UG followed by counselling, under either the All India Quota or the UT (Union Territory) quota. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone of the college on 13 June 1957 to meet the state's need for medical education. The college was established in 1959 as the Jammu and Kashmir Medical College and admitted its first batch the same year.
