How to Apply
Admission Process for MBBS
Admission to MBBS at GMC Aurangabad is through NEET-UG followed by counselling. Of the 200 seats, 30 are filled via the All India Quota and 170 are reserved for the Maharashtra State Quota (CET Cell). After qualifying NEET-UG, students register, fill choices, and seats are allotted on NEET rank, reservation, and availability; allotted students report to confirm their seat.

Infrastructure
GMC Aurangabad spreads over approximately 96 acres (with its teaching hospital), with a four-storey administration and teaching building (30+ departmental rooms), anatomy/pathology/PSM museums, an 800-seat auditorium, dissection halls (200 capacity), a ~2,681 sq m central library, sports facilities, hostels, and the ~1,500+ bed GMCH. The Government Dental College is in the same premises.
A GMC Aurangabad lecture hall / classroom
The main academic building is four storeys with 30+ departmental rooms, offices on the ground floor, the Dean's office on the first floor, lecture halls, and anatomy, pathology, and PSM museums, plus a small canteen and an 800-seat auditorium.
Dissection halls accommodate about 200 students at a time, with separate clinical- and experimental-physiology laboratories (34 students each) and two biochemistry labs (about 100 students each).
GMCH, within the college premises, has approximately 1,500+ beds (including 300+ specialty beds), an OPD block, surgical block, OBGY and medicine wards, super-speciality units, ICU/MIC/ICC/NICU units, 25+ OTs, CT/MRI, and a NABH-certified blood bank.
The central library (~2,681 sq m, 1,700+ users) has an e-library, reference and photocopy services, internet, and two reading rooms (one each for undergraduate and postgraduate students).
The sports ground offers box cricket, chess, carrom, volleyball, and badminton, and the well-equipped gym (with the sports ground in its area) supports student fitness.
A new 12-storey surgical building is under construction, along with a planned 100-bed cancer hospital.

Government Medical College, Aurangabad, was established on 15 August 1956, the 10th Independence Day of India, starting with 50 undergraduate students in a small Nizam Bungalow in the cantonment area, with special wards at Amkhas elsewhere in the city.
