How to Apply
Admission to CMC Vellore for MBBS is determined via entrance. As stated in the most recent admission bulletin, candidates must meet NEET-UG requirements and adhere to the CMC admission procedure and category framework. Until the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University gives its clearance, final admission is still tentative.
The student must have passed Class 12 or equivalent.

NEET cutoffs
The MBBS admission pattern is as follows. Within the Management Quota, the breakup is Open: 2 seats, Minority Network: 38 seats, and CMC Vellore Staff Quota: 10 seats. Within the Government Quota, 30% of seats are filled by the State Government under its reservation policy and 20% are reserved for Christian minority candidates from the State, as per NEET merit.

History
The inception of CMC Vellore may be traced back to Dr. Ida Sophia Scudder's vision and perseverance, which established one of India's most prestigious medical institutes. In order to help women who had little or no access to quality medical treatment, she opened a one-bed clinic-turned-dispensary in Vellore in 1900. What began as a modest, mission-driven healthcare endeavor progressively grew into a much larger organization influenced by social responsibility, medical education, and service.

CMC Vellore provides hostel accommodation for undergraduate medical students on its Bagayam College Campus, located around 7 km from the main hospital campus in Vellore town.
MBBS students stay in separate hostels, with the Women’s Hostel, established in 1932, being one of the earliest buildings on the college campus, and the Men’s Hostel, built in 1953, situated across the road from the Main Campus.
