How to Apply
B.J. Government Medical College offers approximately 250 MBBS seats, filled through NEET-UG followed by counselling. Students apply via Maharashtra State counselling (85% state quota) or All India counselling (15% AIQ). Seats are allotted on NEET rank, reservation, and availability; the supplied state-quota reservation is about 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 30% OBC, and 10% EWS. Allotted students report to the college with documents to complete admission.
The student must have cleared Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

History
B.J. Government Medical College was established on 23 June 1946 by upgrading the earlier B.J. Medical School, which had been started in 1871 under the visionary leadership of philanthropist Byramjee Jeejeebhoy, who aimed to train doctors and provide quality medical services in Pune.
