Introduction
Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune, was established in 1989 and is one of the oldest private medical colleges in the region. In April 1996, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, was granted Deemed status and the college became a constituent unit of the deemed university. It offers MBBS, 21 postgraduate and 7 super-specialty programs, plus fellowships and a PhD, and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools by the WHO.

How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at Bharati Vidyapeeth (a deemed university) is through NEET-UG followed by deemed-university counselling conducted by DGHS/MCC, for both Indian and NRI students. Counselling includes registration, choice filling, locking and seat allotment, with second and third rounds if seats remain. Allotted students report to the college to complete admission formalities and confirm their seat.
The student must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
Subjects:
A minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biochemistry is required for the general category (relaxations for reserved categories).

The academic block has three air-conditioned 180-seat smart lecture halls, two conference halls and two auditoriums (450 and 550 seats); the digital library has 44 terminals and the central library holds ~18,127 books, 176 journals, 5,300 reference books, 3,100 titles and 3,771 bound volumes with reading rooms for 300. Bharati Hospital has ~1,071 beds (150 ICU, 60+ NICU), and there is a playground for cricket, football and basketball plus a well-equipped gymnasium.
