All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot is one of the newest AIIMS, set up in 2020 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) as an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Located at Khanderi, Rajkot, Gujarat, it is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and awards its own MBBS degree as an Institute of National Importance. It admits 75 MBBS students a year purely on NEET-UG merit through All India Quota counselling by the MCC. There is no state, management or NRI quota.
