All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, was formed in 2012 under the first phase of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Located in the Yoga Capital of the world, the institution follows international standards of medical education, aiming to develop sharp medical skills and conceptual clarity in its students. It is an Institute of National Importance with a top NIRF medical rank of 13th in 2025 and an overall NIRF rank of 78th. How to Apply
Admission Process for MBBS
AIIMS Rishikesh offers 125 annual MBBS seats, filled on the basis of NEET-UG and centralized counselling. Only students who clear NEET-UG are eligible for the counselling rounds, which are conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota seats. Based on NEET rank, reservation norms, and seat availability, students are allotted seats and then report to the college for document verification and admission formalities.
