How to Apply
Admission to MBBS at AIIMS Raipur is based on NEET-UG, conducted annually by the NTA, followed by counselling. Only NEET-qualified students are eligible. As a competitiveness indicator, the supplied content notes approximate qualifying ranks of about 1,376 (General) and 2,016 (OBC). MCC conducts the All India Quota counselling rounds; students submit documents, choose and lock AIIMS Raipur during choice filling, and report to the institute after seat allotment (based on NEET rank, reservation policy, and availability).

History
AIIMS Raipur was established in 2012 after the AIIMS Amendment Act, 2012 replaced the earlier ordinance, making the institute operational from September 2012. It is one of the six AIIMS institutions planned under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).

Housing
The residential complex has separate hostel buildings for girls and boys, divided into 9 blocks with approximately 171 rooms in total, along with the Director's bungalow and a two-floor guest house.
The Type-I hostel has three floors and about 36 rooms across two blocks; Type-II and Type-III have five floors with 72 and 18 rooms respectively; Type-IV and Type-V are seven-floor structures with about 21 and 24 rooms respectively.
Rooms are spacious and well ventilated, with a bed and mattress, table, chair, almirah, and bed table. Students also get drinking water, a geyser, laundry, housekeeping, and other facilities.
Hostel rules are strict — girls are expected to return by 9 PM and boys are not allowed to enter after 10 PM.
The campus mess and kitchen serve four meals a day with hygienically prepared food and a weekly rotating menu, with proper seating in the dining halls.
In free time, students can visit The Living Room Café, Mithya, Nandan Van Zoo, the Raipur International Cricket Stadium, and other nearby places.
