AIIMS Bathinda

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda, is a government medical institute in Punjab, founded under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in 2019 and an autonomous Institute of National Importance. It offers approximately 100 MBBS and 60 nursing seats, with about 10 specialities and 11 super-speciality departments. Initially located at the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, it moved to its new campus in 2020 and works under the mentorship of PGIMER, Chandigarh.

How to Apply

Admission Process for MBBS

Admission to MBBS at AIIMS Bathinda (~100 seats) is through NEET-UG followed by MCC All India Quota counselling. Students register, complete choice filling and locking; seats are allotted on NEET rank, reservation policy and availability. After seat confirmation, students report to the institute in person to complete documentation and fee payment.

AIIMS Bathinda spreads over approximately 177 acres with a modern, multi-block layout (OPD, IPD, academic block, central library, residential block and more). The hospital block has ~750 beds (360 speciality, 215 super-speciality, 145 other) plus a 30-bed AYUSH block, ~16 OT suites, a dedicated emergency & trauma centre, NICU, ICUs, PICU and India's second Stem Cell Therapy lab. There are 50+ department-wise blocks with labs and clinics (anatomy dissection hall & museum; physiology labs with ECG/EEG; biochemistry auto-analysers; mycology, histology, drug-prep and path labs). The central library holds ~13,720 books (200-seat reading room) with a digital library and campus-wide Wi-Fi; there are 3 canteens, a blood bank, physiotherapy, 2 ambulances, internal shuttle/cycle access (no outside vehicles) and indoor/outdoor sports grounds with a gym.
