How to Apply
Admission to the EUC MD is based on academic grades and English proficiency, not on a competitive entrance examination. Indian students must also qualify NEET to obtain the NMC eligibility certificate required to study medicine abroad, but the EUC offer itself depends on school grades and English, not on NEET rank.
Complete the EUC online application with a non-refundable €200 fee, and submit school certificates and English-language evidence for the School of Medicine.
Admission is assessed on academic grades (a high-school average of about 18/20 or roughly 90%, or equivalent A-Level/IB results) and English proficiency (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 79 or equivalent). There is no entrance exam or interview.
Applicants who do not yet meet the direct-entry requirements can take the EUC Foundation Program for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Studies as a route into the MD.
Admitted students receive an offer and confirm their place by paying the first tuition instalment.
International students complete the Cyprus student visa and residence-permit steps, supported by EUC's International Student Services.
The MD programme begins for the new intake in Nicosia.
Applicants must have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and strong grades — a high-school average of about 18/20 or roughly 90%, or equivalent A-Level/IB results. Indian students must also have qualified NEET for NMC eligibility.

Candidates should be at least 17 years old in the year of admission, in line with standard MBBS-abroad and NMC requirements.
Applicants apply online with school certificates and English-language evidence. Admission is on grades and English, with a Foundation Program route for those who do not yet meet the requirements.

A strong Class 12 record with Biology, Chemistry and Physics, plus English proficiency (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 79 or equivalent). Native English-speaking nationalities may be exempt from the English test.
NEET (for Indian students)
Indian students must qualify NEET to obtain the NMC eligibility certificate required for studying medicine abroad and for the screening examination on return.
There is no competitive entrance examination or interview for the EUC MD. Admission is decided on academic grades and English-language proficiency.

The MD is a six-year, 360-ECTS programme: early years build the basic and pre-clinical sciences with clinical skills from year one, and the later years are built around clinical rotations in Cyprus's teaching hospitals, with externship options abroad.

Legacy
The EUC School of Medicine is a young but ambitious school whose faculty includes internationally recognised researchers, including a Nobel Laureate as Honorary Professor.
Ada Yonath, winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her work on the structure of the ribosome, is an Honorary Professor of the EUC School of Medicine and hosts EUC student research externships in her laboratory in Israel, reflecting the school's research ambitions.

University-affiliated student residences offer a convenient, community-focused base for first-year international students close to campus.
Students who prefer more comfort or independence can choose privately operated student residences, or rent or share a private flat. Both options cost noticeably more than the university halls, and students organise this independently as the university does not arrange private housing.

Practising in India
To practise medicine in India after graduating from European University Cyprus, Indian students follow a clear pathway set by the National Medical Commission. NEET qualification is required from the start, and the NMC's course-and-internship rules should be planned for carefully.
Step 1
Graduates must clear the qualifying examination that licenses foreign medical graduates to practise in India. This is currently the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), which is transitioning to the National Exit Test (NExT).
Step 2
After qualifying, students complete a one-year Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) in India, gaining supervised clinical experience across the major departments.
Step 3
The final step is registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the relevant State Medical Council, after which the graduate can practise as a doctor in India.
