How to Apply
Admission to General Medicine is through the university's International Admissions Office, often with help from authorised representatives in India. Indian students must have qualified NEET before enrolling, in line with NMC rules for studying medicine abroad.
The admissions window for the September intake opens through the university's International Admissions Office.
Indian applicants must have qualified NEET-UG, both to enrol and for future licensing in India through the NMC.

Admitted students receive an offer and invitation letter and sign a study contract with the university.

The university is led by its founding rector and a faculty of Armenian physicians and scientists.
Professor N. Kh. Saribekyan is the rector of the university, which was renamed Saribekyan International Medical University in 2026. A professor and doctor of science, the rector has led the institution since its founding era and gives the university its current name.

Practising in India
To practise medicine in India after graduating, Indian students follow the licensing pathway set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Because the university is WDOMS-listed and teaches a six-year English-medium MD, it meets the NMC's core criteria, and students must have qualified NEET-UG before joining.
Step 1
Graduates must clear the qualifying examination that licenses foreign medical graduates to practise in India. At present this is the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), which the NMC plans to replace with the National Exit Test (NExT).
Step 2
After qualifying, students complete the required internship in India. Under the NMC's 2021 regulations the internship is expected at the same foreign institution, so students should confirm how this university's clinical/internship year maps to the requirement.
Step 3
The final step is registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the relevant State Medical Council. Once registered, the graduate holds a full licence to practise medicine in India.
