Why Was NEET UG 2026 Held Twice?

The NEET UG 2026 result closes the most turbulent NEET cycle since 2024. The original NEET UG 2026 was held on 3 May for over 22.7 lakh registered candidates. On 12 May, the exam was cancelled after investigators found that a pre-circulated "guess paper" recovered in Rajasthan matched around 140 questions of the actual paper, and arrests followed, including people connected to the question paper process (Wikipedia: 2026 NEET controversy).
