The Medical University of Pécs

The history of the University of Pécs dates back to 1367, but teaching was discontinued under Ottoman rule. In 1921, the university began operating as a state university and has been offering human and dental medicine in English at the medical faculty since 1984.
Due to the alignment with the German curriculum, many students begin their studies, with the possibility of transferring to Germany if a place is available.

However, many students also complete their studies at the Medical University of Pécs, as they particularly appreciate the student life and infrastructure in the historic city.

The study of human medicine and dentistry at the University of Pécs is equivalent to that in other European countries such as Germany and Austria.

Annually there are 240 study places available for international students. 

For the academic year 2023/24, the tuition fee for the English-language programme is  83.64 lacs total for human medicine and 6.91 Lakh / Semesterfor dentistry.

For the academic year 2023/24 , the tuition fee for the German-language programme is 6.77 Lakh / Semester for human medicine and 6.97 Lakh / Semester for dentistry.
