Today, the university has about 20,000 students, of which about 4,500 are international students from 70 countries. To provide enough space for the students, the new state-of-the-art campus opened, which also includes a brand new theoretical building. Admission procedure
To secure a place in the English-language program at the University of Pécs Medical School, you must pass a natural science entrance test (covering Biology, Chemistry, general English, and biomedical English) and submit a motivation letter within the specified deadline. The history of the University of Pécs dates back to 1367, but teaching was discontinued under Ottoman rule. In 1921, the university began operating as a state university and has been offering human and dental medicine in English at the medical faculty since 1984. Due to the alignment with the German curriculum, many students begin their studies, with the possibility of transferring to Germany if a place is available.However, many students also complete their studies at the Medical University of Pécs, as they particularly appreciate the student life and infrastructure in the historic city.- The degree programme is fully recognised in Germany, Austria and all other EU countries.
